The Isle Evrima RCON Commands: What Actually Works
The Evrima RCON commands that work today, with argument formats, and the Legacy commands that don't exist on Evrima.
Evrima RCON is not Source RCON. It uses its own binary protocol on a TCP port (default 8888): a login packet with the password, then one byte per command followed by comma-separated arguments. A normal Source RCON client (the kind you use for Rust, ARK or CS) sends packets Evrima doesn't understand, so it either fails to log in or gets no answer. Use a client built for Evrima.
Many guides online still list Legacy commands. This page covers only what Evrima RCON accepts.
Enable RCON
In TheIsle/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/Game.ini (or WindowsServer/ on Windows), under [/Script/TheIsle.TIGameSession]:
bRconEnabled=true
RconPassword=YourSecretPassword
RconPort=8888
Restart the server. The protocol is plaintext, so use a long, unique RCON password and share it only with the tools you trust. If you don't use RCON, leave bRconEnabled=false.
Commands
Arguments are separated by commas, with no spaces around the commas. Players are addressed by SteamID64 (17 digits, starts with 7656), not by name.
| Command | What it does | Example |

toggleai | AI on or off | toggleai |

Some things the server doesn't check for you: updateplayables replaces the whole list and refuses unknown names, but disableaiclasses takes whatever text you send, so a typo silently does nothing. aidensity and setgrowthmultiplier accept any number, even negative ones, and write it to Game.ini. Use aidensity between 0 and 2 (default 1), and a growth multiplier above 0, typically 1 to 5.
Playable class names the server accepts: Allosaurus, Beipiaosaurus, Carnotaurus, Ceratosaurus, Deinosuchus, Diabloceratops, Dilophosaurus, Dryosaurus, Gallimimus, Herrerasaurus, Hypsilophodon, Kentrosaurus, Maiasaura, Omniraptor, Pachycephalosaurus, Pteranodon, Stegosaurus, Tenontosaurus, Triceratops, Troodon, Tyrannosaurus.
Do a save before anything risky, such as a mass wipecorpses or a restart.
Commands that are not Evrima RCON
teleport, goto, bring, spawn and the other Legacy chat commands don't exist in Evrima RCON. Some things are done in the in-game admin panel (for SteamIDs in AdminsSteamIDs), which is separate from RCON. If an old guide tells you to type slay or teleport over RCON and nothing happens, that is why.
Kicks and bans that "do nothing"
The usual cause is a name instead of a SteamID64. Run playerlist, copy the 17-digit ID and use that.
Evrima RCON has no unban command, and the ban list is stored in an encrypted file you can't edit. So ban for a few hours when you aren't sure, not permanently.
Common questions
My server lags with high AI. Can I change AI without a restart?
Yes. aidensity, toggleai and disableaiclasses work live over RCON, and the same controls are in MantaScope's Isle panel. Heavy AI is the most common cause of rubberbanding owners report, so try a lower density at peak times first.
How do I deal with cheaters without giving my mods the RCON password? Ban by SteamID64 with a reason and a length in hours. In MantaScope your mods do this with their own login and only the rights you give them, every action is logged, players can appeal on a public page, and you can share a ban list with other servers.
Run these commands from your browser
MantaScope speaks the Evrima protocol. You can run every command above from a browser, see the player list with SteamID64s, and give your admins their own login with only the rights you choose, so nobody else needs the RCON password. Free for one server: Evrima RCON in your browser.
