Plutonium: play BO2, BO1, MW3 and World at War online

Plutonium is a free, community-made client for classic Call of Duty titles. It brings back dedicated servers, mod support and its own anticheat. It is not made by Activision. You need your own copy of the game to play.

Step by step: How to play Black Ops 2 online with Plutonium

How to install Plutonium and join a server

  1. Own the game. Plutonium runs on your own game files (for example your Steam copy). Plutonium checks that you own the game through your Steam account, so cracked copies don't work.
  2. Make a free account on the Plutonium forum at plutonium.pw.
  3. Download the Plutonium launcher from plutonium.pw only, and start it.
  4. Pick your title (for example BO2 Multiplayer or Zombies), point the launcher to your game folder, and sign in.
  5. In the game, open the server browser and join a server.

Stay safe

  • Download Plutonium only from plutonium.pw. Other "Plutonium" downloads can contain malware.
  • Never give your Plutonium or Steam password to anyone, including people who offer unlocks or "mod menus".
  • Plutonium has its own anticheat. Cheats and mod menus in public matches can get your account banned.
  • Run a server? Keep your RCON password private and change it if you shared it.
